Sailing Log book Saild.com Launches at the Round The Island Race

Sailing Log Book Saild.com launched this weekend at the Round The Island Race. It was well received by the attendees on the Isle of Wight and the good weather helped in keeping the crowds happy.

Saild is an online log book for boaters and sailors. It allows crew and skippers to get more than just a line of text in to remember their trips. The site was born from its founder Duncans frustration with losing paper logs and for want of a better logbook.

Who should use Saild?
You need not be a skipper to use Saild it has been designed so that anyone onboard can create a log entry and add their fellow crew to it. When they do so, the mileage gets added to everyones log.
If someone is not on Saild they can be invited by emails and when they register the miles will automatically be added into their log book.

What can be put up on Saild?
Anyone who has been added to a trip can upload photos, videos and log entries as well as being able to upload any tracks which may have been uploaded from Navionics or any other GPS app.

What else?
Over time your log is built up and you can see what other people on the site are up to, when they post new trips, photos and log entries of their sailing.

What’s next
As we grow we have lots of cool features planned for Saild and there are a number of them which are already under development. We always like feedback so any you have we’ll gladly take.
