Techniques: How to adjust the main sail without stopping
This would seem as if it were the most simple thing that any sailor could do, yet I’ve seen many different ways of getting that sail up and down the mast with each skipper and many different instructors having different approaches.

My favourite to date which works well in light to moderate conditions is to be close hauled with the jib in tight and just let the main sheet out until it is flapping. This means that you are still underway and making progress under the jib and still allows you plenty room to safely manoeuvre your mainsail.
What do you find works best for you?
